TC 3.51 is not installable

Post by TKrauss »

Hi there,

I now tried to install the new TwineCompile version 3.51, but after entering the username and password and clicking on "Next" I get an error: "Unexpected response from licence server: "

What can I do there?

The TwineCompile installer now requires internet access to our servers to validate the registration key. Make sure that the machine you're trying to install TwineCompile on allows the installer through.

Then this is the problem...

We are behind a proxy! Where can I set this proxy and which port do you use?

The TwineCompile installer should be using the IE proxy settings. Do you have those configured?

Yes these are configured in the IE!
I think our administrator is blocking the port... Is there any special port needed?

I now retried to install TC 3.51 but without success!

c:\TEMP\TwineCompileSetupError.html this file is 0 Byte big and I have full access on port 80 through my proxy server with my Internet Explorer.

What can I do now?

Looks like the proxy configuration is causing issues. I'm updating the installer so that it supports offline verification of the user name/key. I'll post here when it's uploaded.

I have just uploaded a new installer that supports offline installation. Please download it and give it a try.

I now tried the new installer but this installer wants a licence file!

I tried to download this file over MyCenter but there is this error occuring:

"We are very sorry, but the My Center system has encountered a problem.
Please contact JomiTech using our contact form to report this problem."

Is it possible that my account is broken? And this is the error for the installer in online mode?
