Encoding PlatinumGrid

Post by dbrazoli » Wed Apr 04, 2018 7:37 am

Hello, Jon.
I have the following situation:
I use postgresql database with UTF-8 encoding.
If I set the page with UTF-8 charset, the labels have special characters, such as (ã, ô, ç) of the Portuguese language, unconfigured If I switch to Latin-1, then the grid data is left unconfigured.
How to solve this?
Thankful.

Hello Daniel,

You need to switch the page to using UTF-8, and also configure PlatinumGrid so that it knows it's getting UTF8:
$grid->UTF8 = true;

Your labels will have to be updated to use UTF-8 characters. I would recommend saving your PHP file in an editor that supports converting from Latin-1 to UTF-8, so that they get converted automatically.
