PlatinumGrid Update 1 Released! By Jonathan Benedicto JomiTech is very happy to announce that PlatinumGrid Update 1 has been
released.
We are committed to providing the developer with high quality, frequently
updated, and fully supported tools. This update illustrates our commitment,
and is released under our 3 month release cycle policy.
This update includes some new VCL and non-VCL demos, and adds some other new
features:
- UTF-8 encoding support
- RTL support to PDF export
- DefaultFilter property to columns to allow initial filter selection.
- Detail value is now persistent.
- Ability to collapse detail views.
- Print and Export methods have a new parameter for exporting/printing all records.
- Wrapping support to PDF export.
- Localization support.
- JavaScript getCellText method.
- PHP 5.0.4 support
There's also been plenty of bug fixing, here is the list that's included in
this update:
- CellData access did not page.
- Master-detail expander was shown on hidden columns
- Issues with date column advanced filter
- JSON issues with accented characters
- LookupComboBox issues with non-VCL apps
- ShowRecordCount did not take effect
- Grid assumed first form on page was the grid's form.
- Buttons did not work in task demo
- Column alignment issue with memo row
- Date picker issues with Ajax
- HTTPS download issue with exporting in IE
- Issue with parsing DATE column format
- Design-time issues with enabling DetailView
- Group row did not render correctly
- Using OnInsert/OnUpdate/OnDelete event handlers prevent grid from refreshing data set
- Grid did not recalculate row count after insertion or deletion
- Empty date columns are posted to the database as null.
- UTF-8 encoding issues with export
- Command column commands were not persisted in non-VCL applications
- Command columns used incorrect column index, causing errors when used with grouping
- Assigning FilterMethod did not set the filter method correctly.
- Cell alignment issues when all columns had width set.
- Filter combobox emitted duplicate JavaScript.
- Grid did not work on PHP versions less than 5.2 due to missing JSON library.
- Grid did not work without PHP input filter extension loaded.
- Margin issues
- typesafeequal error with using PlatinumGrid in VCL 1.0 application
- JavaScript error when using fixed columns without filter bar.
- PlatinumGrid did not work with JTPageControl.
- Filter drop-down did not appear correctly positioned when scrolled horizontally.
- PlatinumGrid Insert() did not work with form editing.
- Insert form was not cleared in JTPlatinumGrid
- Issue with editing date-only columns in PlatinumGrid
- Selection was not set when expanding detail view.
- Grid height did not update with anchors
- getPrimaryKey in JTPlatinumGrid didn't work
- various grouping issues with JTPlatinumGrid
- JavaScript OnDataLoad event did not fire.
- Overflow issues in Internet Explorer when combobox was resized to a very small width.
- Horizontal and vertical lines did not appear on detail grid.
- Grid selection was broken after expanding a detail view.
- Insert/Update failure didn't return grid to editing mode.

PlatinumGrid. It is not necessary to uninstall any existing PlatinumGrid
installations.
